Drupal for English majors and everyone else

We'd like to explore and analyze the Drupal first-time user experience. Where does it work, where might it need to be re-examined, re-thought, and re-designed? Is it possible to design a user experience that will thrill English Majors and CS majors alike? If so, how might we tackle this problem?

Speaker bio:

Leisa Reichert is based in London and is helping to define and design the user experience for Drupal 7 and is the founder of the open source design community, designintheopen.ning.com. Stefan Smagula is based in New York City, and was working at Google before joining The Economist in April of this year. He's helping to make The Economist the destination of choice for discourse and debate. He recently installed and configured Drupal for the first time (three times in a row). Other invited panelists (tbd) will serve as case studies illustrating typical first-time user experiences.

I'm Jason Reed, and I'm senior designer at Acquia. I've been designing and developing web sites since 1998, and have been a part of projects for many exceptional companies during those years, including Apple, Intel, and others.
