How the current initiatives have opened the doors for a better design process for Drupal 8. While our modules become more abstract and empowers more users, we will need new ways of tackling complex interface issues.

We will tackle the following topics :

  • Designing Drupal 8
  • Embracing design chaos
  • Untouched interfaces such as Fields UI, Installation profiles

What can we learn from the design processes of Ubuntu, Mozilla and Wordpress? This talk will cover what framework we could put in place to drive designing Drupal 8 - and what the UX-Team has done so far to put the building blocks in place.

Designing Drupal 8 is still an open field, but this talk will cover what we haven't been able to touch in Drupal 7 such as Fields UI, Multilingual Fields UI - Installation profiles (Features) and how the current contrib work on those will influence core.

Closing the session with, the work that has been done on Drupalusability.org so far.
