Why Drupal Is Like Drupal Is
This presentation is a reworking of the keynote Jeff gave at the Boston Design For Drupal Camp in June. This session gives a pragmatic, designer-centric look at Drupal, explaining its history and rise in popularity, with a look at some of the landmark websites along the way. Jeff talks about Drupal's benefits of use, and tries to justify its difficulties while sympathizing with new designers and site builders. Jeff talks about the designer's feeling that "Drupal hates me" and tries to bring better understanding between Drupal's tradition of back-end developers and the new-breed of front-end focused people who represent Drupal breaking through into the mainstream.
This lecture could go in either the UX/design track or the beginner (zero-to-hero) track.
