ASSISTANT ENGINEER – WEBMASTER, Honiara, Solomon Islands
I am a Solomon Islander and I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the South Pacific in Suva, Fiji majoring in Computing Science and Information Systems. I currently work as the Assistant Engineer – Webmaster at the Solomon Telekom Company Limited. Solomon Telekom is the sole provider of telecommunications in the Solomon Islands. My primary role as Webmaster requires that I design, implement and maintain all company websites; I should also be able to provide advice, solutions and guidance that keeps us abreast with the rapidly changing technologies in web development globally. Additionally, I am also responsible for developing applications for services that require a web interface and maintain all infrastructures (hardware and software) used in our web-hosting environment.
