Possible apartment share?
I would be interested in doing a roomshare, suiteshare, or apartment share, as I will be traveling solo to Paris.
Me:
drupalchick from the southeastern US. Married, but the geekspouse can't come to Paris with me, much to my disappointment. If you don't recognize my name or my username, check around in the drupalchix or drupal4libraries areas; I am known in both and am happy to provide references if you don't know me. Google my username as well; you'll find info on me dating back over a decade. I am sane, quiet, a seasoned traveler, and thoroughly excited about going to Paris!
I am almost certainly going to arrive in Paris (via Atlanta, Georgia) on the morning or afternoon of Saturday, August 29 and will be staying until the morning of Saturday, September 5. I do not speak French. I intend to be very busy while in Paris -- photography, museums, organizing a BoF or two, etc. -- and don't expect to be in my room or apartment except to sleep.
You:
While I'm likely to give first choice to other drupalchix, the reality is that I don't care if you're male or female. I care that you're sane, reasonably clean, and considerate of others in what will likely be a small place. If you don't personally know me, a reference would be nice. Paying your share of the lodging is required, not optional.
If I get a lot of responses (I don't know if anyone will even be interested!) I'll want to know if you're seeking a room to yourself, can share a room with someone else, or if you're content with just floor and shower space.
The plan:
If I don't know you, I'm likely to ask for some token amount up front as a deposit. Please understand that I don't do this to be mean; I do this to ensure you're serious about covering your part of the bill, because I assume I will be taking the financial hit of putting the entire amount on my credit card.

the best way to find rooms is "le guide du routard - paris" i found cheap rooms in some auberges near paris inchirieri auto
Me: Belgium male 37 also looking for a place to sleep, arriving 31/8 and leaving 5/9
Plan: Doing a lot, also need the place to sleep, don't mind sharing a room
I am out. I already arranged my accomodation somewhere else.
Hi,
I am a Spaniard looking for drupalers to share an apartment during the Drupalcon. I may be on my own or with some other Spaniards (so far there is only one more in the pack, and he is not sure).
Hi Amy and Anja,
I'd be interested to be one of the room-mates. Married man with family (wife and children won't come with me), non-smoker.
Will arrive on Aug 31st and leave on Sep 4th.
Sounds like we need a rather large appartment. Maybe we should just try to get a house instead. #squatter ;-)
Jan
Me and a few others from Germany are also looking to rent one or more apartments. I know of a lady who rents apartments all over Paris. As soon as I know how many of us are gonna need a place, I will get in touch with her.
Are you interested in sharing an apartment with our group? The others are all guys, but they behave around me, so they'll behave around you ;-)
count me in.
I am Austrian, female, 41, webdeveloper, almost married, but my guy has to work first week of September and can't come to Paris.
This is my first Drupal Con, I don't know anyone, I don't speak french, my heartrate goes up a little bit while typing this :)
So please if you rent an appartement: let me know
cheers,
Lena
Lena, I'm going to join forces with Anja (aka aschiwi). Just so you know!
If you like, contact me privately and let me know when you're coming in. Look at it this way: you have friends at drupalcon. You just don't know them yet. :)
I am interested I have a place with a mezz floor extra bedroom but would also look at moving to cheapen the costs. I work in the 16th near Trocadero so ideally want to be close so I can walk to work if possible.
Too bad I was in paris during the conference.
